Foam produced by Caligen can be divided into 3 main groups: polyester
polyurethane foam, polyether polyurethane foam and reticulated polyurethane
foam. Caligen is the leading manufacturer of polyether and polyester based
polyurethane foams. Finished and semi-finished foams are processed into products
that meet the high demands for comfort, safety, protection or sound insulation.

The different
foams developed and produced by Caligen Europe are extremely versatile. One of the special types of foam is the reticulated foam, which differs from conventional foams because of its very precise and open cell structure.
Reticulation is a processing stage
whereby the cell membranes are destroyed in a controlled explosion and then
fused with the cell ribs. Reticulation produces completely open-celled foam that
is especially suitable for filtration and purification of gasses and
liquids.
